Does my faith community need a website?

Websites aren’t just for businesses. It doesn’t matter if your faith community is big or small or somewhere in between, there are many ways you can benefit from having a website.

To engage members. You can use tools such as videos, photo galleries, event registration and prayer requests to make sure your members are kept up-to-date and engaged online.

To educate people about your faith community. Using a website gives you the opportunity to let people know you exist. You can also tell visitors what they can expect when they come for a visit. A website provides a forum to post past sermons and other messages either in a video, audio, or written form.

To answer asked questions. Websites can provide answers to questions from members, visitors and people looking for a place to worship. You can post answers to questions about your location, worship times, office hours, faith statements, events, meetings, classes, small groups, and more.

To make your presence known. People search online for faith communities in their towns. According to statista.com, there are nearly 300 million Internet users as of 2016. That’s a lot of users and if you are not online, you may be missing opportunities to share your mission.

Don’t have an existing site? Is your current site is outdated or just not meeting the need? Give it some thought. Maybe it’s time to get noticed online.

Sharing is caring!
